Vivace Theatre Summer School
This summer we want to help create some very special memories. We are delighted to be offering not 1 but 2 exciting musical theatre camps. Inspired by two uplifting musicals, we have an ambitious and entertaining summer ahead.
For experienced performers, there will be plenty of challenges and for those new to the stage, lots and lots of wonderful opportunities to learn about performing. So prepare to act, sing, dance, meet new friends and put on a magical show in just 5 days!

Before becoming the world famous chocolatier, he was simply a boy with a dream. This wondrous story reveals how Willy Wonka, chock-full of ideas and determined to change the world, overcomes adversity to fulfil his destiny. After all, hard work and a dash of magic can make anything happen!
This delicious tale of dreams, friendship and chocolate is based on the box office smash Wonka. With a sweetly satisfying score and an inspiring story of invention and imagination this exciting new musical has quickly captured hearts.

Dive into the world of high school drama, friendship, and humour. This hilarious and heartwarming journey through the ups and downs of teenage life follows Cady Heron, a newcomer to the tumultuous halls of North Shore High School, as she navigates the treacherous waters of teenage cliques, gossip, and the infamous Plastics.
With catchy dynamic songs, this musical is an a testament to friendship, loyalty and being true to yourself. There are great opportunities for male and female performers and even a specially tailored, relatable Mini Meanies adaptation for our youngest students.

STRUCTURE
Rehearsals will take place in the VTS studios at 243 Sauchiehall St. You will have four classes each day – 2 acting classes, a singing class and a dance class. You will work on performance pieces from Monday through to Thursday. Friday morning is a technical rehearsal Friday afternoon is the performance.
WHEN?
Either 1st July - 5th July or 8th July - 12th July or 15th July - 19th July for 'HAT FULL of DREAMS', a Summer Camp inspired by the movie Wonka.
OR 22nd July - 26th July or 29th July - 2nd Aug for 'FETCH & FEARLESS', a Summer Camp inspired by Mean Girls the Musical.
Classes begin at 10.00am and finish at 4.30pm. Students can be dropped off from 8.00am onwards and can be collected as late as 5.30pm in an effort to accommodate working parents.

COST
The course costs £145 (£50 of which is required as a deposit to secure your place. The balance is not required till the week before the course begins.)
There is no additional charge for early drop off or late pick up.

We love meeting new people who are interested in performance and so we'd like to offer you a FREE VIP CLASS PASS enabling you to join us as our guest one week on the VTS course of your choice!
This is the perfect opportunity to meet our team, check out our studio and generally get a feel for what being a student at VTS involves. There is no obligation to enrol whatsoever and our welcoming staff team will be on hand to support you throughout.
