This is a brand new course for singers which incorporates weekly vocal technique classes and performance classes that focus on Urban Dance and Stage Presentation.
Students benefit from one master class per term with industry professionals, have the option to sit graded examinations through London College of Music and participate in two annual performances.
Times vary according to grade and an initial assessment class will be conducted for all new students.

Learn some of the hottest dance moves... Hip hop, Poppin, Lockin, Break dance and Street! Masterclasses from industry pros and plenty of performance opportunities throughout the year to show off your moves.

Students aged 3-7 years
A fun introduction to performance for students aged 3-7 years. The course includes acting, singing and dance and is taught through a range of activities and games aimed at encouraging participation and developing confidence.

Acting Course
Wednesday Evenings
For those students who want to focus specifically on acting, this course allows them to work on scripted, improvised and devised work and looks at the diverse styles and techniques required to tackle such pieces. This is a varied and challenging course which is extremely rewarding and a lot of fun.

Musical Theatre Course

Musical Theatre Students undertake three fifty minute classes each evening one in dance one in acting and one in singing. This course aims to promote versatility and to produce multi skilled performers.

VTS Link Schools
VTS Link Schools are Vivace's growing network of schools outside of Glasgow. Our main academy is set in Glasgows City Centre with excellent travel links, but this extension to our service provides increased opportunities for young people to participate in quality performing arts opportunities throughout West Central Scotland.

We are aware that the time and cost of traveling to classes in Glasgow for families further afield can be prohibitive and for this reason we have launched VTS Link Schools. These are exactly what the name suggests - local schools running the same high quality programme as VTS HQ in Glasgow
The VTS Link Schools will benefit from the same opportunities as our students attending the main academy in Glasgow.
VTS Link Programme
The VTS Link Schools curriculum is an exciting combination of our very successful Pop Academy, Streetdance, Acting and Musical Theatre programmes, providing a broad grounding in all aspects of performance. Classes comprise of three fifty minute workshops one in dance one in acting and one in singing and each led by a specialist tutor. This course covers a wide range of theatrical styles - from Boal to Broadway. Its diversity makes it an engaging, exciting and fast paced training programme that is extrememly enjoyable. Classes cost £90 per ten week term.
VTS Eary Stages Programme
Some Link Schools will also run the VTS Early Stages programme for 4-7 years. This course is fun introduction to performance incorporating acting, singing and dance and is taught through a range of activities and games aimed at encouraging participation and developing confidence. Classes cost £55 oer ten week term.
No previous experience is required! Our fantastic tutors will have you looking and feeling like a star in no time.

This August Vivace Theatre School will be running another exciting summer school for young people aged 8-18 years and this year our focus will be on acting for the big screen. At VTS ScreenWise youll act, sing, dance, make a short film, meet new friends and put on a fantastic showcase for industry professionals, all in just 5 days!
No previous experience is required. If you are interested in performing and would like to try something new this summer come and join us! The talented and dedicated staff team will provide all the support necessary to ensure that everyone has a fantastic time.

Calling All Gleeks!!
Come along to the VTS half-term Glee Camp! With the support and guidance of our professional tutors you will learn fantastic scenes and routines from the hit show. Youll act, sing, dance, record a CD in Star for a Day Recording Studios, meet new friends and put on a fantastic show, all in just 5 days!
Rehearsals will take place in the VTS studios just off St Enochs Sq from 17th-21st Oct. This intensive fun packed course concludes with a performance for friends and family in the Centre for Contemporary Arts on Sauchiehall St. All students will receive a copy of our Glee CD as a memento of our week together!
Structure
You will have four classes each day including acting classes, a singing class and a dance class. You will work on performance pieces from Monday through to Thursday. Friday morning is a technical rehearsal Friday afternoon is the performance.
Classes begin at 10.00am and finish at 4.30pm. Students can be dropped off from 8.30am onwards. and collected up to 5.30pm at no extra cost.

Film and TV Casting _ VTS
For developing performers the value of working on professional productions, auditioning for casting directors or even spending a day on set as an extra is immeasurable. It puts practise in the rehearsal room into context, motivates and focuses and reveals a whole new approach to performing which is worlds apart from stage work.
VTS have partnered with the highly respected Alana Herron Agency (AHA) who has offices in both Glasgow and London, offering our students the broadest range of opportunities possible.
Formerly trading as Rentacrowd, AHA became a huge success providing extras, and walk-ons throughout Scotland. As the agency expanded to represent professional actors and the London offices were established, Alana began trading under her own name and her list of credits speak volumes http://www.alanaherron.com/credits.php
AHA has excellent relationships with Casting Directors as well as Directors and now has a large network of invaluable Production contacts across the UK. We are delighted that AHA will be managing Vivace Castings and with the service costing just £12 per year, its fantastic value for money!
Examinations & Professional Qualifications Offered
Vivace Theatre School offer students the opportunity to gain professionally recognized qualifications through the London Academy of Music And Drama (www.lamda.org.uk ), the London College of Music (http://mercury.tvu.ac.uk/lcmexams ), and the British Association of Teachers of Dance (www.batd.co.uk). These exams are entirely optional. This enables students who are attending the classes for enjoyment to opt out and those interested in pursuing careers in performing arts can benefit from sitting grades in their chosen subject.
The desire to achieve each grade is a great motivator and encourages students to self assess and strive to improve in areas of weakness. Furthermore the reputable and established examination boards used by the school have all been by the Qualification and Curriculum Authority and this allows candidates to use their graded exams in Singing, Dance and Acting to improve their UCAS score when applying for university.

Join Vivace!
For some, joining VTS will be the first step towards an exciting career in the performing arts. Other students come simply to have fun, to experience the thrill of performing, to make new friends and to grown in confidence.
No previous experience is required! We firmly believe that young people need ample opportunity to transfer their skills from the classroom onto the stage and for this reason we aim to complete a minimum of two productions with each class per academic year. If you are keen and want to try something new then give us a call. We demand and maintain a high quality of performance from our students but all necessary support and tuition is provided by our committed and enthusiastic staff.
Just complete the form opposite and a member of staff will be in touch to discuss to arrange a visit. You will be invited to meet the staff, students and join in a class to find out if its the right course for you.
